ABOUT

Ayberk is a visual artist working across photography, video, and sound. His photographic practice emerge from a sustained fascination with human systems; their complexity, their cost, and the contradictions embedded in technical progress as it manifests in urban landscapes and nature. What began as early investigations into animal welfare and environmental decline has evolved into a broader meditation on containment, transformation and loss; on how human intervention both creates and forecloses possibilities.

In video and sound, his works move between observation and imaginative construction. Having lived across several continents and currently based in the Netherlands, he draws on a broad repertoire of observation. Across mediums, he resists direct narratives or didactic resolution, instead inviting pause, reflection and slow recognition.
